The City of Bridgeport, Nebraska is seeking an experienced Line Worker, either as a Lineman or Journeyman depending on applicant pool. Applicants must have four years of verifiable experience and relevant certifications as may be required. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and pass drug and alcohol screenings to meet and maintain requirements for safety and regulatory compliance. The City of Bridgeport offers competitive wages starting at a level commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. The core duties and responsibilities are construction and maintenance of power lines; Operation of vehicles and heavy machinery: such as bucket trucks, backhoes, and  trenchers;  Working with high and low voltage lines; Installation and replacement of electrical components, including  transformers,  switches,  conductors  and  more.  Substation  maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs may occur in partnership with power suppliers.  Adherence to OSHA rules, APPA Safety Manual and company Standard Operating Procedures.
